By leave of the House of Lords in Ireland. Dublin: Exrs of David Hay, 1773. Folio full contemp. leather (worn), new slipcase and title-piece, pp. 233, 15 (appendix: the judgement). Final chapter in one of the most dramatic legal contests of the 18th century, turning on the complicated marital affairs of the elder Richard, Earl of Anglesea (1694-1761), who allegedly was 'married' to two ladies at the same time, and had a child by a third, to whom this inquiry found he was legally married when his child was born.
