Description
Description: With seconds dial, stamped to reverse: w.w.w.Y13250 [arrow] 10677449. As used by a soldier in Northern Ireland. These watches were made for British forces during World War I and issued up to the 1970s. 12 different watchmakers supplied them, hence the collectors' nickname 'Dirty Dozen' which is derived from a 1960s movie.
Condition
A few light scratches to case, numbers faded, with a Bella Sport velcro strap.
Provenance
A retired member of the Royal Military Police, who served in Northern Ireland in the 1970s.
