Description: Issued to DI John Edward St. George (1864-1940), complete with King's Crown badge and chin strap. Accompanied by copy of a detailed biography and RIC Register Extract.
Note: St. George was born in Freshford, Co. Kilkenny. He served as a captain in the 5th Battalion, Royal Irish Regiment was appointed a 3rd District Inspector RIC in 1886, was awarded both Royal Visit medals - 1900 and 1903, was Private Secretary to the Inspector General from 6 May 1903 until his appointment as a magistrate inon 26 September 1908.

Condition
A couple of pieces of blue cloth with moth damage, interior perished but fine appearance overall, very good.
