Note: An animal, flower and landscape painter, Jury was born in Antrim in 1907. She studied at Belfast School of Art and in England, France and Switzerland. She exhibited with the Belfast Art Society from 1926 1929, the Ulster Academy of Arts between 1931 and 1949, and the RUA from 1950 to 1979. In the 1980s she moved to Co. Donegal. Upon her death in 1995 a sale of her works was made in aid of the Ulster Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals an organisation which she had worked for for much of her life. She also went by the name "Nancy Jury".

Condition
The board is slightly bowed lower centre. This has not lead to craking or flaking of the paint. Overall very good condition.
