His works have received wide acclaim in Ireland and internationally and have been shortlisted for numerous prizes including The AIB and Victor Treacy awards. Llewellyn also won The Taylor Art award and the Tony O’ Malley award, among others.In 2011, Llewellyn was awarded the Whyte's Award for painting at the RHA, and was shortlisted for the Golden Fleece Award, both in Ireland.In 2012, Llewellyn was nominated for the The Future Generation Art Prize established by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation by Kunstlerhaus Bethanien,Berlin.
