Title: MOUNTAIN RANGE, 2010
Note: David King studied at NCAD, graduating with a B.A in Fine Art in 1997, M.A in Fine Art practice and Theory in 2000 and a Master's in Professional Education in 2017.He was awarded the inaugural Hennessy Craig Award at the Royal Hibernian Academy, RHA in 2002. King has exhibited extensively throughout Ireland and abroad, including the Prince Pierre Contemporary Awards in Monaco where he was a finalist. One of King's Black Earth Works a steel painted sculpture was chosen to represent Art of the State. A collection of twenty artists chosen to represent the state collection for 2016, displayed in Dublin Castle. His work can be found in many public and corporate collections including AIB, Bank of Ireland, the Office of Public Works, Kilkenny Butler collection, ESB, First Active Bank and AXA, Chosen artist RHA 2018. King is currently working on a long term project to do with collective cultural and personal memory.
