Description
Title: THE FISHERMAN'S PARADISE, circa 1925
Note: In the 1920s Walter Till exhibited a total of 20 works with the Dublin Sketching Club and once at the RHA from an address in Dame Street. He is also known to have submitted designs for the first postage stamps to be issued by the Irish Free State in 1922. Walter Till designed several posters for the Great Southern Railway Ireland. The present work was for one of these posters, entitled "The Fisherman's Paradise" (see illustration) - a German version of the poster is also known.
Frame size: 22 by 32in. (56 by 81cm.)
