Title: BIRD'S NEST, 1950
Note: Daniel O'Neill's work had been exhibited in 1947 New York as part of a group show in association with the American Artists Galleries and the following year in a group show held in Los Angeles. In 1950, his dealer Victor Waddington organised a travelling group exhibition in America, which included Daniel O'Neill, Gerard Dillon and George Campbell in association with the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, and New Irish Painters. The present work was included in that important exhibition.

Condition
Good stable condition. Some minor surface dirt visible. Areas of impasto appear intact and stable. Painting is presented unglazed in what appears to be its original frame.
