Note: Gabhann Dunne is a Dublin-based painter. He studied Fine Art Painting at the Dublin Institute of Technology and The National College of Art and Design, Dublin. He is also a former winner of the RDS Taylor Art Award (2011) and the Hennessy Craig Scholarship and the Whyte's Award for his entry to the Royal Hibernian Academy Annual Exhibition (2009).Dunne has exhibited widely, his recent solo shows include: Crossing the Salt shown in Farmleigh House 2019 and at Limerick city gallery, 2018; In the Presence of Birds, Molesworth Gallery, Dublin, 2017; Magenta Honey, the Lab, Dublin, 2015; The Wavemaker’s Vision, the Rubicon, Dublin, 2012 and The Crossing, the Roscommon Arts Centre, 2012. His group shows include: Pallas Periodical Review, Pallas Studios, Dublin, 2016; Eigse, the Visual Centre for Contemporary Art, Carlow, 2016; Select, Vanguard Gallery at the Triskel Arts Centre, Cork, 2014; The Land of Tib and Tom, Rubicon Projects, Irish Georgian Society, Dublin, 2014; 40/40/40 (celebrating 40 Irish artists from the Office of Public Works),exhibited throughout Europe and The Fold, the Visual Centre for Contemporary Art, Carlow. His work is in public and private collections including: Office of Public Works; savilles; Facebook; De Loitte, Mason Hayes Curran; Law Society of Ireland; XL Art Collection; the Residency and the National Self-Portrait Collection of Ireland, National University of Limerick.
