Note: The Flemish engraver Hieronymus Wierix did an engraving of a similar scene, which is now in the British Museum.Also in the Dulwich Picture Gallery, London, there is a similar painting. Hieronymus Wierix was in Spain on commission by the Spanish Court and encountered artists such as Cristobal Vela who is known to have used the engravings of Wierix to inspire his work
