Description: A group of eight letters to Alice Holroyd Smyth relating to Patrick O'Reilly, Vice Commandant, IRA, and Michael 'Malix' Fitzgerald including a 1923 (January 10) letter from John Prout, Commdt. General, GOC 2nd Southern Command, acknowledging appeal for O'Reilly and Fitzgerald; 1923 (January 25) letter from Patrick O'Reilly 'an hour before my doom'; three in memoriam cards for O'Reilly, two studio photographs of him with rifle and Sam Browne belt and a photograph of the coffins of O'Reilly and Fitzgerald prior to reinternment; also letters from prisoners George C. Kiely, Dan O'Brien, Patrick Hogan and Pat Fitzgerald; and a letter 1922 (January 18) from Michael Cashman O.C. Glendine Coy. IRA, requesting a loan of the pony and car; together with seven issues of an t-�glach, type-written song sheets etc.
