Description: By repute to John Redmond, Irish Citizen Army and IRA.
Note: John Redmond was born on the 20th of June 1892. He was a member of the IRB and took part in the Howth Gun-Running in July 1914. In 1916 he fought in Fairview and the GPO and vicinity. After the surrender he was arrested but released four days later. He he-joined the Irish Citizen Army but in 1919 he transferred into the IRA and undertook armed patrols. He took the Pro-Treaty side in the Civil War and joined the National Army in May 1922 and served until discharged from the Defence Forces on the 10th of January 1924.
