Note: The artist resided at Grange House, Rathfarnham from 1927 to 1938 as noted in the RHA index of exhibitors. The label with this address verso thus dates the painting to this juncture in her career. A view of Muckish was exhibited by her at the RHA in 1932. Numerous views of Donegal were shown at the RHA during this period. Clipping verso includes a photograph of "... young Irish artists in Dublin in 1903 - the Count Markiewicz... Cissie Beckett, Dorothy Elvery (Lady Glenavy's sister), Freda Perrott... Lily Williams, Beatrice Elvery (Lady Glenavy) and Estella Solomons."
